2012 Summer Academy Application

Overview:

The SportsChallenge Summer Academy is a selective, national program that accepts 28 student-athletes into each of the five programs:

  1. Girls Lacrosse
  2. Girls Soccer
  3. Girls Basketball
  4. Boys Soccer
  5. Boys Basketball

Candidate Eligibility:

  • Currently in the 9th-11th grade
  • Competes at the varsity level 
  • Demonstrates distinct desire to grow as a leader
  • Possesses strong work ethic and passion for their sport.
  • Has the physical and emotional maturity to thrive in an intense, diverse and consistently challenging setting.

Admissions Policy:

  • Admission is need-blind and rolling.
  • Our Admissions Committee meets regularly to evaluate new applications.
  • SportsChallenge encourages male and female student-athletes of any religion, race, color, sexual orientation, national and ethnic origin to apply.
  • Decisions are based upon the Committee’s belief that the student-athlete is an excellent fit for our program with emphasis placed upon readiness for the athletic, classroom, dorm and leadership challenges that student-athletes will encounter at Summer Academy.
  • If accepted after the program has reached capacity, you are placed on the wait-list. 

The Application Process:

  1. Fill out and submit the application.
  2. After the written stage is complete, selected students will be contacted within one week for a phone interview.
  3. We will contact selected students with our admissions decision within one week of the interview. We send further program details to all accepted student-athletes.
